How Should We Then Write?

It may have been a dark and stormy night, but if Johnny Boy isn't battling aliens, fleeing from zombies, or avoiding vampires, teenagers of today don't seem to care.
Christian young writers have a responsibility to uphold.  As followers of Christ, it is our duty to write wholesome stories, not modern-day trash.  We need to strive for godliness in our writing, and we should be trying to convey Christian morals through our writing.

1 Timothy 4:12
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
We cannot, if we proclaim to be Christians, write worldly things.
1 John 2:15

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Did you know that Jesus was a storyteller?  He told stories, but they always had a moral.  There was always a lesson to learn.  I think we should follow His example and strive to make all our stories point to God!  What greater example could we have than the greatest storyteller of all?

God gave us His word through writing.  I'm sure He always takes interest in what we are writing!  Just think, He knows everything we write, so we need to make sure it is worthwhile!  Can't you imagine Him, reading over our shoulder as we're writing?  What an honor that He would take interest in that!

I don't want to have Him shaking His head sadly at what I'm writing, disappointed that I am not using it to His glory!  I'd rather have Him smiling, pleased with my work!

Hello, fellow-writer! :)
I love to write for Jesus. And this post truly does spell out my own feelings.
The fiction young people read today is terrible.
No wonder there is so much violence and horror in the world.
Jesus bless you as you write for Him!
